Freud's Couch - The Healing Space

Freud’s Couch was founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic with a heartfelt mission to support families affected by the crisis. What began as a response to an urgent need for mental health care has since grown into a dynamic center for psychological support and education. Over the years, we have expanded our services to include home-based counseling, online therapy, and institutional mental health programs.

In 2024, we began offering structured mental health sessions across schools and colleges in Tamil Nadu, focusing on awareness, emotional well-being, and psychological resilience. At Freud’s Couch, we also recognize the importance of training the next generation of mental health professionals.

We offer practical exposure and learning opportunities to students and early-career practitioners, particularly emphasizing the biopsychosocial model and its impact on mental health. Our workshops and hands-on sessions are designed to address the intersection of psychological well-being and social realities. We have also curated our own syllabus for the "Therapeutic Training Program," blending academic insight with real-world practice to prepare individuals for meaningful work in the field of mental health.
